Important Announcement from the Federal Reserve

My fellow Americans, Inflation has bent from 5% to 4.68%, but it has not broken. I raised rates to 11.25% and will hold the line. Monetary policy alone cannot win this fight. I need you. Every idle dollar fuels inflation. Every deposited dollar cools it. Our savings rate is dangerously low, and it is now the greatest upward pressure on prices. Banks need deposits to stabilize credit and starve inflation of oxygen. Today I am depositing $400 million of my own capital into American banks. I ask every citizen and business able to do so: save. Deposit. Lend your strength to this economy. I must also speak plainly on the 40% tariff before Congress. It would be a catastrophic self inflicted wound. Tariffs are taxes paid by American families, not foreign nations. They would reignite the very inflation we are crushing, punish working households at the checkout, invite retaliation against our exporters, and undo months of sacrifice overnight.
