Due to the recent defection of the CCG Members of Parliament to the Conservatives, the Conservatives now have 67 members as well as 230 members of parliament, a net increase of 7 from the previous election in anticipation of the new one. The Conservative leader and PM was reportedly happy with the defections, remarking that it is repairing the fractured right under the stewardship of the Conservatives and its Government.
