INAUGURAL ADDRESS – President Karl Freitag

My fellow Americans, I would like to thank those who have elected me to represent the United States in the highly prestigious office of the President. I would also like to thank my predecessor and mentor, President Antonelli, for his unwavering support. To my opponents in the election, I wish to extend an olive branch and congratulate you as well. With the elections now having passed, it is time for us to stand together and tackle the important issues that affect us despite party affiliation. My first priority as President will be to close the deficit and solve our debt crisis. Our debt to GDP rate is at 134.6% and growing. I urge all members of Congress to vote in favor of Senator Hiven's sales tax proposal, a bitter but necessary tax to close the $1.5T gap. We must pass the sales tax. To that end, I urge all senators to back the nominations for the Freitag Administration. The most essential work in rescuing our economy starts now. Do it for the people. Let's do this, America!
