The Prime Minister of the United Kingdom

It has become clear that the Chancellor was actively planning to undermine and destroy the Conservative Party from within while serving at the highest level of Government. Such conduct represents a complete breach of trust — not only with me as Prime Minister, but with colleagues, Parliament, and the public we were elected to serve. Government cannot function where loyalty to personal ambition outweighs duty to party and country. I have therefore dismissed the Chancellor from office with immediate effect. This Government will continue its work with unity, discipline, and a clear sense of purpose. Attempts to destabilise the Party from within will not be tolerated. THE PRIME MINISTER
