Background
Born and raised in the heart of Bobsville, Robert "Bob" Builderson Jr. was literally born into the trade. The son of Robert Builderson Sr., a legendary master mason, Bob spent his formative years learning that a community is only as strong as its foundations.
His political views were shaped during the "Great Sunflower Valley Expansion." While others saw an empty plot of land, Bob saw a sustainable ecosystem of affordable housing and eco-friendly infrastructure. His experiences managing a diverse team—ranging from high-strung cranes like Lofty to the more "earth-moving" personalities like Muck—taught him the art of diplomatic negotiation and heavy-duty logistics.
"The question isn't whether the bridge is broken; the question is, 'Can we fix it?' The answer has always been, and will always be, 'Yes we can!'" — Bob the Builder, Inaugural Address
Political Career
Bob’s transition from general contractor to public servant was sparked by a series of bureaucratic delays regarding a local bypass. He ran for Mayor of Sunflower Valley on a platform of "Total Restoration."
Early Offices & Campaigns
- Head of the Bobsville Urban Planning Committee: Championed the transition from fossil-fuel-dependent machinery to high-efficiency biofuel.
- The "Can-Do" Campaign: A grassroots movement that focused on fixing potholes, repairing fences, and ensuring every scarecrow (specifically Spud) had access to vocational training.
Major Legislation
| Bill Name | Year | Impact |
|---|---|---|
| The Blueprints for All Act | 2021 | Provided tax credits for DIY home repairs and community gardens. |
| The Anthropomorphic Machinery Rights Accord | 2023 | Guaranteed mandatory "oil-break" hours and garage heating for all sentient construction vehicles. |
| The No Pothole Left Behind Initiative | 2025 | A massive infrastructure project that successfully paved 400 miles of rural valley roads. |
Positions
Bob is a centrist Infrastructure Specialist who believes in "Foundationalism"—the idea that if the physical world works, the social world will follow.
- Infrastructure: Bob advocates for a "Build Back Bricker" policy. He prioritizes bridge repair, solar-paneled roofing, and the expansion of the Bobsville monorail.
- Labor Relations: As a lifelong union member, Bob is a staunch supporter of the Heavy Equipment & Steamroller Local 402. He believes in fair wages for both human contractors and sentient backhoes.
- Environmental Policy: Bob is a pioneer in "Green Building." He famously converted a derelict water mill into a zero-emissions power plant using only recycled timber and the help of a very helpful scarecrow.
- Public Safety: Strongly supports Universal Hard-Hat Mandates in all high-risk zones.
